ok, new here and not sure how this works. sorry, I am very upset. I am in dire straights and have exhausted EVERY resource available to me. I have gone all the way to Washington DC for help and been turned down. I have too MANY needs they say..whatever. I am a 39 yr. old AF widow who is losing my electric tomorrow, have lost my doctor and dentist due to no money or insurance. Am going through seizures from lack of necessary meds..free clinic will not give them to me since they are controlled. Have been to ER several times since August for a tooth that has an exposed nerve and needs root canal. Am going to lose my liver soon from living on antibiotics..$8200 to fix my teeth but that may be a moot point since I have a defective mitral valve in my heart and if the infection hits that, guess it's basically over. Have lost all friends and family so am alone and no clue except to jump in car that is shot and just leave and wherever I break down, there I am. Guess I will beg, borrow or steal to get the meds that keep me from seizing..have a headache and bump STILL on my head from a seizure 3 weeks ago! Never had a seize in my life until no doc to presribe meds. isn't this country great to their fallen hero's widows...blah.. Julie Evansville, IN toplessvettepilot@webtv.net

ha, I found it somehow:) thanks you guys again. you are great. not sure I will be back here. It's too hard to find my way around:) All I know how to do is check the mail..lol...

I posted a reply but have NO clue where it is:) I hardly know my name right now I am SOOOOO POEd. This country just is NOT right. I can't get any SS if I wanted to with no stupid doctor to see me. I just WANT OUT and now that stupid court date is going to ruin my chances of moving to Panama with a criminal record. I really give up. This country won't help me but they WON'T LET ME OUT!!!!!!!!!!! ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

When did your husband pass away? Was he on active duty, in the war, etc. You should be entitled to some benefits(medical and a pension,it's called DIC). Some new benefits are available that go back retroactive to certain dates. I will be happy to direct you with any info that I may know. God bless you.

Wow! You have a lot of problems in your life. Let's try to take them one at a time. 1) As an widowed veteran's wife, doesn't the military provide you with a pension and some benefits? 2) Have you been disabled completely? If so, has it been for 24 months? If so, you may be eligible for Social Security benefits and Medicare. 3) If you truly have no resources, you should be eligible for Medicaid. Have you applied? If you have been refused, what was the basis for their refusal? 4) Contact the Dental Association in your state. They typically have free clinics where they may be able to address your most severe dental problems. You can also check with local dental schools, who typically offer clinics to low income Americans. 5) Why are you living on antibiotics? Is this to avoid infection of your mitral valve due to the condition of your teeth? 6) For help with your utilities, you may want to contact your local Salvation Army. I know that they can help with these. Above all, DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE! Things can turn around in a second even if you have no reason to believe that they will. In the meantime, take positive steps to improve your situation - even if they are baby steps.
